I was awarded my PhD from the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences in Chemical Genetics from a strong agricultural school University of California Riverside in 2013 with a minor in Cheminformatics.
The majority of my work was performed on the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
Arabidopsis is closely related to staple food crops such as kale, spinach, broccoli and has a fully sequenced genome with a wealth of genetic and community resources.
